I’m still in shock with how Heather was able to take my vision and ideas to execute the website I had always been dreaming for. For too long, I tried to DIY (design it yourself) my business site to save a little money here and there but I was never really happy with my designs. When I heard of Heather and how talented she was, I decided to give it a chance despite the investment. I’m so glad I went with Heather because she translated my business into something so visually brilliant and the perfect storefront to represent my brand. If I could do it all over again, I would’ve saved myself the time and money in attempting to design things myself and gone straight for Heather because every penny and second was well worth it.

Hannah (a Denver Colorado wedding photographer who is amazing!!) was referred to me by Molly at Brand Camp … and from our first call I knew that the matchmaking skills of Molly were completely on point. We hit it off right away and aside from the fact that Hannah is a super sweet person, I couldn’t get enough of her images which I couldn’t wait to get my website designing hands on!!

Below is the website and logo Hannah had BEFORE I started working with her:

website that needs to be redesigned

I knew that Hannah planned to remove the watercolor ‘splotch’ from her logo for the new website we’d be working on together … but I felt there was a place for it in the new website and when I started rough sketching her website I kept coming back to that thought … I hunted down a splotch shape I loved online and played around with a few different ideas before I landed on a rotating slide of Hannah’s photos shaped into the splotch … from there I knew that the rest of the website needed to be VERY CLEAN, full of beautiful white space, and without chaos, as it would be paired with the ‘watercolor swish shape’ idea and I didn’t want anything to look overdone or ‘loud’ … Hannah’s photos needed to be the hero with the ‘support system’ of an amazing web design that flowed well and felt organic and natural.

Below is the scrolling homepage I designed for Hannah:

Hannah wanted her mobile version to run perfectly … and so we made that happen! She knew her mobile traffic was almost HALF of her total website traffic … so now all of her visitors will be LOVING what they experience!

… same goes for visitors using their tablets … I’m obsessed:
