WHAT CAME FIRST: THE PHOTOGRAPH OR THE DETAILS??
We all know the saying:
WHAT CAME FIRST: THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG?
Do any of us really know?? It's truly a conundrum ... I feel the same way about this conversation that I hear WAY TOO OFTEN:
Person A: You wouldn't have any images to showcase if I didn't take them.
Person B: You wouldn't have anything to photograph if I didn't create amazing details.
Person C: You wouldn't have a way for anyone to see them on a grander scale if I didn't feature them.
Person A: Well, you wouldn't have anything to feature if I didn't take the pictures.
Person B: Well, you wouldn't have any images to get featured if I hadn't created the details for the photo!
Person D: Will you three just shut the f*ck up for a second!!???
So, what came first??? Why is everyone on their high horse about this situation in the wedding industry?
I understand that not all photography is great or even worth looking at ... and I've seen it ALL and have the migraines to prove it! But here's the thing:
YOU CAN WAVE YOUR FANCY FILM CAMERA IN FRONT OF A HIDEOUS BROOCH BOUQUET ALL DAY LONG ... IT'S STILL A HIDEOUS BROOCH BOUQUET
The details DO matter ... the photography style DOES matter ... the platform that it's featured on WILL help you! Can we just all agree on that?? None of this came first and none of it is more or less important ...
